CANTON LOCAL COMMUNITY EDUCATION INFO
The Canton Local Schools Community Education Program is offering variety of classes. A complete schedule of all the different classes to be offered is an on-going effort. Please continue to check your issues of Inside Canton Local or check our website at http://communityed.cantonlocal.org/.
Registration is open. There are no residence requirements. Any person fifteen years of age or older may register for classes regardless of previous education background. Class sizes are limited, so please register early. Senior Citizens (ages 62 and older) will receive a 10% discount on course fees. All classes will be held at Canton South High School unless specifically noted.
Registration:
Please include name, address and telephone number, along with course(s) name and/or course number. Checks should be made payable to: Canton Local Schools.
Payment may be made on the first night of the course.

Walk-In: First scheduled night of class at Canton South High School (unless otherwise noted). Look for posted signs directing individuals toward the appropriate classroom. Some classes may be restricted in class size, so walk-ins may or may not be accepted.

Course Cancellations:
You will be notified only if a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. Unless you hear from us, plan to attend class on its first scheduled night. Cancellations due to weather will be broadcast on WHBC 1480 AM (If school is closed, classes will NOT meet).
Course/Materials Fees:
Some courses may also include a materials fee. Senior Citizen discounts DO NOT apply to materials fees.
Refund Policy:
The Community Education Program reserves the right to cancel any class. In the event a class is cancelled, students will be contacted and a full refund will be made. If it is necessary that you drop a course, please notify Jim Gotshall, Director of Community Education, immediately at 330-484-8000, ext. 607. Course fees will not be refunded after the first meeting of the class. All but $5.00 of the tuition fee is refundable up to that time. All refunds will be made by check from the Treasurer’s Office of Canton Local Schools. Please allow two to four weeks for reimbursement.
